'PEACE' Art by the Beatles @Monterey Pop Festival

The drawing was collectively-fashioned by all four Beatles in London during recording sessions for what would become the 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' album. It is a felt marker, colored pencil and ink composition which speaks of many things including: “Peace To Monterey From Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band”, “Loving You”, the timely prediction: “it happened in Monterey A Long Time Ago”, the curious salutation: “Sincerely John, Paul, George and Harold”, “I Love You”, in Paul’s hand, and “congratulations elvis, say hello to uncle stan” [Sam] (Elvis had been recently drafted into the US Army), and “how are you bob” (Dylan) in John’s hand.

It also includes intriguing self portraits of each of the band members and what appears to be a second set at the top illustrated with two ghost-like images. The artwork was published twice again, with Wilkes' permission in the Derek Taylor book, "FIFTY YEARS ADRIFT" in 1984 and again in "Beatles ANTHOLOGY" published by Apple Corps and released in 2000.

The framed piece measures 47 inches wide by 67 inches high by 2.5 inches deep and stand on it’s own easel at over six feet.
